Albany, New York (March 18, 2000) - For the second year in a row, Southern Tier Junior Bassmaster president, Chris Barth, won the New York State Casting Kids title.

In his 5th consecutive trip to the state finals, Chris scored a perfect 150 points. In the process, he made CastingKids history in New York, by being the first kid to successfully defend his title.

His win at the state finals qualifies him to move on to the national semi-finals, held in Knoxville, Tennessee, to represent New York State. That competition is scheduled for April 28-29.
