Bonk turns a tough day into a win on Keuka

Aug 16, 2008 - On a day where limits were at a premium, eight 5 fish limits out of 29 competitors, Mark Bonk came up big with 11.60 pounds to take first place and $256.50 in prize money. The tournament, held on Keuka Lake Saturday August 16, 2008, was the third point’s tournament for the Southern Tier Bassmasters.

Second place went to Charlie Mackintosh with a weight of 10.93 pounds in only 4 fish.

He won $156.75. Third place and $92.63 went to Kerry Rice for his 10.21 pound limit. Bob Green took fourth place and $64.13 for his 9.81 pound limit.

Lunker for the tournament was a 4.54 pound smallmouth bass caught by Wade McClurg. It was worth $150.

The final STBM point’s tournament will be Saturday September 27, 2008 on Lake Erie launching from Small Boat Harbor and will determine the 2008 club Angler of the Year.
