Abt Wins Again!
When you’re on a roll everything
seems to fall right into place. That seems to be the story
for Southern Tier Bassmaster Joe Abt. And for the Southern
Tier Bassmaster club, if he stays on course, they are Apt
to have a record setting year.
On a lake, Chautauqua, that has reportedly
been off most of this season Abt put together a 5 fish limit
of largemouth bass weighing 20.25 pounds to win his second
points tournament in a row, Saturday August 15, 2009.

$220.50 for his efforts and puts himself in a golden position
to be the first member to be a repeat AOY in the club’s
history, leading Bob Elliott by a mere 6 points.
Les Blue took second place with 17.56
pounds earning him $134.75. Third place and $79.63 went to
Wade McClurg for his limit weighing 16.50 pounds. The fourth
and final paying place was taken by John Siejak and his 15.51
pound limit that also contained the tournament lunker, a 5.58
pound largemouth. His two checks totaled $180.13.t
