A Wise Win at Conesus

The father/daughter team of David and Erica Wise put together a 15.80 pound winning limit of bass to take first place honors in the Southern Tier Bassmaster’s Russ Louk Memorial Open Team Bass Tournament sponsored by the Ken Golub Insurance Agency Saturday July 3, 2010 on Conesus Lake. The win gave them $762.30 in total prize money.

Kirk McMullen and Ken Golub finished second with 14.57 pounds and collected $438.90. In a close third winning $254.10 was the team of Tim Moots and Jonathan Evans with 14.47 pounds.

In fourth place was the team of Kraig Kettlekamp and Mark Harold. Their 14.08 pound limit earned them $161.70.

Lunker for the tournament was a 5.69 pound largemouth. The $231 payout was gladly taken by Larry Mazur and Mike Kozell for the tournament giant.

42 teams took to the water at safe light and returned at weigh in time with 120 bass that were returned back to the water alive and well. 16 teams however failed to weigh any fish indicating another tough day on the waters of Conesus Lake this season.

Southern Tier will be back in action next Saturday July 10th on Lake Erie with their second point’s tournament of the young 2010 season.
