Barth Wins Big on Upper Niagara River

Ted Barth spent the better part of two weekends scouting out the Upper Niagara River to prepare for the Southern Tier Bassmasters third point’s tournament scheduled for Saturday August 14, 2010. Little did he know how big those efforts would pay off? His limit of 5 smallmouth bass tipping the scales at 16.69 pounds crushed the competition. In all he was .01 pounds shy of a 3 pound lead over his

closest competitor, Mark Bonk and collected $384.10 in winnings.

Bonk finished the day with a limit of largemouth weighing in at 13.70 pounds earning him $136.95. Third place and $80.93 went to Tim Creighton with 13.63 pounds. Rounding out the top 4 places was Noel Good weighing in 13.53 pounds of smallmouth bass. His catch was worth $56.03.
