Brock Wins at Conesus Open

Vinny Brock found himself in a very familiar place Saturday July 2, 2011 at the Southern Tier Bassmaster’s Russ Louk Memorial Bass Tournament, sponsored by the Ken Golub Insurance Agency, held on Conesus Lake. That place was the winner circle

for the third time since 2008. He did it, having nearly a 5 pound advantage over the second place team, with a 5 bass limit weighing a whopping 21.62 pounds, anchored by the 6.05 pound tournament lunker. His winnings totaled $1087.90.

Second place and $480.70 went to the team of Zack Seal and Kurtis Breeze with a limit

weighing 16.60 pounds. Andy Donato and Mike Flannery finished 3rd and collecting $278.30 with a 16.21 pound limit, while Randy White and Ryan Claypool rounded out the top 4 with a limit weighing 15.96 pound good for $177.10.

A total of 45 teams battled for $2024 in prize money with 168 bass being caught, weighed and released alive to fight again

As it has been done in the past a new grill was raffled off at the end of the tournament. This year’s winner was Howard Stives, Southern Tier’s own tournament director.
