Kilbury Wins Opener on Seneca Lake

Saturday June 25, 2011 marked the date of the Southern Tier Bassmasters opening point’s tournament on Seneca Lake. Twenty two competitors took to the water at safe light to start the quest for the coveted club Angler of the Year award.

When the day ended one man stood at the top. Jeff Kilbury brought a 5 fish limit to the scales weighing 14.17 pounds anchored by a 4.74 monster bass, the tournament lunker. His catch earned him $353, but more importantly, the lead in the AOY race with 100 points.

Second place was claimed by Noel Good with his 12.16 pound limit. His take was $148.50. Third place finisher Charlie Mackintosh took away $87.75 for his 11.72 pound limit. Rounding out the top 4 and taking home $60.70 was Larry Good with10.76 pounds.
