Carey takes two in a row!!

Geneva, NY - With his second straight win in a row, John Carey moved closer to another AOY title and tied a club record of two consecutive wins. Since 1998, this is only the 5th time that has been accomplished.

The usually stingy Seneca Lake held true to form and Carey won the event with 11.92 lbs of largemouth bass. He reported drop shotting his way to his winning

weight rotating between a couple different areas on the main lake. He would have to leave his primary area, to let it "rest" and then return a little later to catch more fish.

Wade McClurg registered a 5-fish limit that weighed in at 11.70 lbs. for 2nd place and the 99 points that go with it.

In 3rd place was Kate Owczarek with a 4-fish sack. Her fish weighed in at 10.53 lbs and was anchored by the tournament lunker, a 4.32 lb largemouth.

Finishing in 4th was Noel Good with a limit weighing 9.92 lbs.

Our next event will be another points tournament on Sodus Bay, off Lake Ontario on Saturday, Aug. 6th.
